Kirsten named Hurricanes' new BBL coach
Apr 3, 2017 - 4:48 AM Former South African Test player Gary Kirsten has been signed for two seasons to coach the Hobart Hurricanes in the Big Bash League.The 49-year-old former opening batsman, who previously coached India's 2011 World Cup-winning side, was on Monday named as the successor to Damien Wright.
Cricket Tasmania is still searching for a head coach after Dan Marsh was sacked in February amid a second season of poor form by the Tigers, who finished last in the Sheffield Shield and fifth in the domestic one-day cup.
