Chapman joins Rugby Australia ref ranks
Dec 19, 2017 - 12:05 AM Super Rugby veteran Mitch Chapman will take up a new role as head coach of referees for Rugby Australia.Chapman, who spent his playing career at NSW, Queensland and the Brumbies, will report to head of referees Scott Young.
He will help manage their high-performance training and assist in coaching them at an elite level.
"Mitch brings an in-depth knowledge of the game having played Super Rugby for more than 10 years and understands the modern players' thinking around rugby's laws," said Young.
Meanwhile, Australia's top referee Angus Gardner will officiate the Six Nations clash between England and Ireland at Twickenham in March next year.
